"I want to be a doctor," Karla says emphatically. This 12 year-old seventh-grader enjoys playing, helping her mother, and taking care of her puppy. Her favorite class in school is computer class. Karla is glad she has chores to do, food to eat, people to help her with her education, and a safe place to live.
